Nicole Vulcan Since 2016, Nicole Vulcan has served as editor of the Source Weekly, a weekly newspaper in Bend, Oregon—one of the fastest-growing communities in the nation. The Source Weekly has won over a dozen statewide journalism awards under her leadership. Prior to that, Vulcan worked as a news producer in broadcast TV. Heading up an independent publication like the Source is a dream come true for her, combining her leadership skills with a passion for community journalism and a drive to tell underrepresented stories.
